Chronic Pain
Therapy

Hi, I’m a therapist—and I live with chronic pain too.

My body came with a chaotic grab-bag of conditions: Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Dysautonomia, Interstitial Cystitis, cervical stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and probably a few others lurking backstage, waiting for their cue. I’ve lived with chronic illness my whole life—but like many of us, I didn’t truly realize how much pain I was in until post-COVID 2023 turned the volume all the way up. That chapter changed me. It deepened how I show up in this work, taught me the sacred importance of rest and pacing (ugh), and reminded me how healing it is just to be believed.

Now, I specialize in supporting folks with autoimmune and autonomic nervous system conditions, especially Dysautonomia, POTS, MCAS, and complex chronic illness. And no—you don’t need a diagnosis to work with me. You don’t need to justify your pain, your fatigue, or your grief. You’re already enough. You’re already believed.

I come from firsthand experience of being “the sick kid,” of navigating mystery symptoms, endless appointments, and the heartbreak of doing everything “right” and still feeling stuck. I’ve faced internalized ableism, used mobility aids, navigated the external kind of ableism (you know the type), and wrestled with that quiet voice that asks, “Is this all in my head?” (Spoiler: it’s not.)

And yep—I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to the science of pain. I love understanding how chronic pain rewires the brain and body, how nervous system dysregulation impacts everything from digestion to memory to mood, and how healing isn’t linear—but still absolutely possible.

Here’s something I’ve learned: chronic pain work is grief work. It’s grieving what’s been lost, what’s changed, what was hoped for. And it’s also making space for what’s still here—the small joys, the quiet resilience, the glimmers of possibility. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes we rage. Sometimes we just breathe (gently, if the rib pain allows it).

I’m here to sit in the muck with you, to find those flickers of light, and to walk alongside you with compassion, warmth, and realness. Whether you’ve been navigating this for years, are freshly burned out on medicine, are caught in the whirlwind of new diagnoses, want to “do everything right,” or are too exhausted to try—I’ll meet you there.

We’ll figure out what works for your life and your body. That might mean coping tools, nervous system work, boundary-setting, radical rest, or simply naming what hurts. And yes—I offer flexible cancellations, because I know doctor appointments, flares, and fatigue aren’t just inconvenient—they’re part of life with chronic illness.

Above all, I believe: your body is your own. You get to set the pace. You get to define your goals. I’m just here to support you—through the pain, the grief, the hard days, and the quiet victories.

If you’re ready for a therapist who truly gets it, who can hold space for both the mess and the magic, and who’s probably within arm’s reach of a heating pad—we might be a good fit.

Let’s find a way forward, together.
