For Individuals with Dysautonomia (POTS/EDS/MCAS/Long Covid/CFS/ME) & Complex Co-Morbidities
Hi there!
I absolutely love this group. It truly goes by so fast.
Every member lives with dysautonomia (POTS/EDS/MCAS) and often additional conditions such as CCI, Nutcracker Syndrome, MALS, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis, TOS, migraines, chronic fatigue, brain fog, and the many co-morbidities that can come with complex chronic illness.
This group exists for one main reason:
Community with people who truly get it.
What Group Looks Like
We begin each session by sharing how we’re doing, really doing, and usually a small win from the week.
From there, the space opens to whatever feels most present:
-
Doctor appointments
-
Insurance frustrations
-
Flares
-
Medical burnout
-
Advocacy wins
-
Emotional processing
-
Or simply being witnessed
Connection is powerful especially when our bodies, society and healthcare systems feel unpredictable. Shared experience and moments of joy can carry us far during chronic illness.
Group Culture & Values
• Show up however you need which can be in bed, with pillows, in pajamas.
• Health is political and sometimes the current landscapes of our political climate get brought up due to the growth of unaffordable healthcare, lack of research and living in a society 'not built for dynamic disability' or 'any disability'.
• This is primarily a listening and connection space.
• Please refrain from unsolicited advice (no surprise yoga prescriptions). You are always welcome to ask for advice if you’d like it.
• No judgment about medications, no medications, seeing 10 doctors, seeing none, burnout phases, or “doing everything or nothing".
• Chronic means chronic. You do not have to justify your pain. You do not have to justify you've done "everything right" and still are in pain.
• You can do everything “right” and still flare.
We assume everyone is in a different season and all seasons are welcome.
This is a closed group so members can build trust and get to know one another. We reevaluate at the end of each season.
